Abstract: BACKGROUND: For early knee osteoarthritis in which total knee arthroplasty fails to achieve satisfactory results, high tibial osteotomy that has been found to promote regeneration of damaged cartilage and alleviate symptoms in patients is considered a classic knee-preserving procedure.
